My opinion on what allegedly may have possibly happened,
Based on the information that has been currently provided to Rockford Scanner:
RS source are reporting they had 2 alleged paranormal experiences at 2 different houses in Machesney Park.
The reports are by the same individual, but two different locations.
The first incident happened at a residence near Maple.
Him and his brother went down to the basement of the residence.
He never did like going down to the basement area, because it always gave him a creepy vibe.
They went down there that day to retrieve something from the storage area.
While down in the basement him and his brother allegedly saw a shadow figure walk past them.
He fled while his brother stayed behind. Only the one experience at that residence.
He is also reporting that a family member lived at an address on Wilshire.
One day while he was younger, he was over the family members house.
He was in the living room area of the residence, looking down into the basement.
While looking down into the basement, he noticed a man staring back at him.
The mysterious figure stared at the eyewitness, then walked away.
Sounds like he might of been able to find out who it may have been.
It was possibly his grandma\s brother, that passed away before he was born.

Years and years ago my father lived in an apartment building at the corner of Maple and (Edit). Well one day I was with my older brother and we went into the basement area. I never liked going down there cuz I always got a creepy vibe down there. There were storage units and washer and dryers down there. We were simply getting something from the storage unit we had. Well while we were in there I seen a shadow figure walk past us. I know for a fact my brother seen it too. I ran out of there as fast as I could. My brother stayed though. That was the only time I ever experienced that.
Another one I had was over at my Grandma’s house. She lives on Wilshire blvd. I was very very young so it’s very vague. I was in her living room and I looked down in the basement and I seen a man down there staring at me. He stared for a moment and walked away. Come to find out it was my Grandma’s brother who passed away before I was born. I never had an uneasy feeling with him. Perhaps because he is family. But there are more stories. But they’re more like my Grandpa’s spirits checking in on me. Nothing spooky like the two stories I told you
