Leads To A Police Standoff

On Friday, May 25, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m.,
Rockford Police officers responded to
Signature Ink (1115 Charles Street) for a report of a stabbing.
Officers were advised that the victim was stabbed
after an altercation with a customer and both fled the business.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was located at a residence
in the 1100 block of 4th Avenue, and had barricaded himself inside the home.
After a brief standoff, he exited the residence, and was transferred to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
