Rockford PD release:
SERIOUS INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH: On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m.,
Rockford Police officers responded to the 3000 block of W. State Street for a report of a car vs.
pedestrian crash involving a child. Upon arrival, officers were advised that an adult female and
small child were struck while crossing the roadway. The driver remained at the scene of the
crash. Both victims were transferred to a local hospital for their serious injuries.
