Based on the information that has been currently provided:

Rockford PD released the following info:
On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at approximately
9:31 a.m., Rockford Police officers were executing a search warrant at residence in the 1300
block of Harding Street, when a handgun was thrown out from a second story window and
26-year-old Vantrell Keys proceeded to jump out the window onto the ground.

Keys was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment of a leg fracture.

Upon his release, he was lodged in the County Jail. During the investigation, Rockford Police detectives recovered
the gun, reported stolen out of Rockford, and also located over 9 grams of Fentanyl.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the facts of the case and authorized
the below-listed charges.
