At approximately 12:40 this morning emergency personnel were called to the 600 block of N Johnston Avenue in Rockford for reports of a male shooting victim.

The unknown age male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for serious injuries. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

Avoid the area while police are investigating.

We will update when further information is released.
