On Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 7:51pm South Beloit Police Officers were dispatched to “Got Slots” in the 900 block of Blackhawk Blvd for a robbery that just occurred. Officers met with the female employee of the business. She advised that a black male, 5’7″ tall, wearing all black clothing and a black bandana over his face entered the business through the front door. The suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. The employee provided the suspect with cash and he then exited the building through the rear door. A witness in the area reported seeing two black males in a dark colored car just west of the business. This car left the area on Springfield Avenue towards Blackhawk Blvd.

Sources are reporting a business in South Beloit was just robbed.

It happened in the 900 block of Blackhawk in S Beloit.

Suspect was able to get away. No suspect description, due to the encryption.


UPDATE: RS fan nearby said the suspects fled in a Silver Grand Prix. The cash bag was located nearby. Many police officers on scene. The business is called Got Slots.

Several sources are reporting a scene at the Wendys in S. Beloit.

Sources are reporting approx. 10 squad cars and officers working a scene at the Wendy’s in the South Beloit area.

Not yet known what happened, due to the encryption.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Arrest A Man For Marijuana And A Gun, in South Beloit

SOUTH BELOIT, IL – On September 1, 2018 at 12:30am South Beloit Police Officers went to 821 Marvin Street to serve a warrant. Officers were allowed entry into the residence by the male and female occupants and took the wanted male into custody. While officers were present in the residence they observed a large quantity of suspected cannabis. The officers recovered almost 3,000 grams of cannabis, over $3,000 of United States Currency and a loaded handgun with its serial number obliterated. This case was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Offices who authorized the following charges:

Arrested: Olander, Jalen M/B 19 years old, 821 Marvin Street, South Beloit

Charges: Armed Violence (Class X Felony)
Violation of the Cannabis Control Act, Possession more than 2,000 grams but not more than 5,000 grams (Class 2 Felony)
Defacing a Firearm (Class 3 Felony)
No Firearm Owners Identification
Winnebago County Failure to Appear Warrant

Olander was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The female occupant was not charged.

The charges against Olander are accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Accident With Injuries Near South Beloit



 

 

Injury  traffic crash at Willowbrook and Technology Drive this afternoon.

A Toyota Corolla occupied by two females and an infant were struck broadside by Ford Taurus occupies by one female.

The driver of the Corolla had serious injuries, the female passenger had contusions caused by the seatbelt and the infant, who was secured in a car seat was uninjured.

The driver of the Ford was cited for a stop sign violation.

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Police Surround A House in S Beloit, Arrest A Couple Of People



 

 

 

On 08-25-18 at 3:20pm South Beloit Officers went to 632 Lathrop Terrance on a tip that Chad Jamerson was at this residence. Chad had a valid burglary warrant through Beloit PD and a valid FTA traffic warrant through Winnebago County. Officers observed Chad to be inside the residence.

While awaiting for other units to arrive, three subjects exited the residence and were identified. With assistance from Rockton PD, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police Jamerson was located hiding in a basement crawl space within the residence.

Two of the three subjects that previously exited the residence were found to have warrants as well. They were identified as:

Daniel Absalom 32 years old from South Beloit;
Charges: Boone County FTA- Obstructing warrant $10,000/10%
Dezarae Conniff 26 years old from Beloit;
Charges: Winnebago County FTA- Driving while suspended warrant; $3,000/10%

Chad Jamerson 34 years old; from South Beloit; Beloit PD Felony Burglary warrant, NO BOND and Winnebago County FTA- Traffic offense warrant; $3,000/10%.

All subjects were transported to the Winnebago County Jail where they were lodged without incident.

The charges against these individuals are accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

SBPD: South Beloit Police are on the scene of a semi tractor trailer rollover on Gardner Street at I-90. A semi was turning west bound onto Gardner from the I-90 off ramp when it’s load shifted causing the trailer and tractor to tip over. There were no injuries.

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Multiple Shooting Victims – South Beloit



 

 Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office have charged 18-year-old Logan Wunder of South Beloit with 1 Count First Degree Murder, 1 Count Attempted Murder, and 1 Count Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.

A 17-year-old South Beloit boy was also charged with a pending criminal cased not related to this incident.

Further charges are pending until the investigation is complete.



UPDATE – 9 PM:  

22-year-old white male has died at a Rockford hospital after suffering from a gunshot wound to his head during a shooting Saturday afternoon just before 2 pm in the area of 100 S. Lincoln Street in South Beloit, IL.  The remaining two victims include; a 21-year-old man who is in critical condition at a Rockford hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and abdomen, and a 19-year-old man who is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the upper chest.  He was transported to a Janesville hospital and later transferred to a Madison hospital.

The two shooting victims have been able to provide police with a name and description of the individual who shot them.  While witnesses have provided police with a description and name of the second suspect who was with the shooter.  The two suspects are described as a white males, that fled the scene in a maroon colored Chrysler vehicle.

About an hour and a half later, the two suspects turned themselves into the South Beloit Police Department.  They have since been transported to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department for further questioning.  At this time, charges are pending for both suspects and more details won’t be available until after questioning has been finished and the Winnebago State’s Attorney can look over the evidence from the case.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department is currently assisting the South Beloit Police Department with the investigation. The Beloit Police Department, the Rockton Police Department, and the Roscoe Police Departments all assisted at the scene of the shooting this afternoon.

UPDATE:  Around 2 pm Saturday afternoon, an altercation between 5 male individuals led to shots fired and three gun shot victims.  The suspects in this shooting are said to be around 18 years old and fled from the scene in a red car.

One victim was shot in the head and is in critical condition, while the other two victims are in serious condition.

Details are very minimal at this time, but just after 2 pm, a call went out for three shooting victims in the area of Center St and Lincoln St in South Beloit.  South Beloit Fire department has asked for mutual aid from Rockton Fire Department and Beloit Fire Department.  South Beloit Fire Department has also just requested for additional paramedics to respond to the scene.  This is still developing, so please check back for more details.
