On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at approximately 3:00 a.m.,
Rockford Police were responding to a report of a loud party in the 3300 block of Sunnyside
Avenue when a call came in for a shooting victim at this location. The victim, a 34-year-old man,
was struck in the legs and transported to a local hospital. Officers were advised that a verbal
argument escalated into shots being fired.
