Sources are reporting a house fire in the 2600 block of Highcrest around 2:30 pm today. Flames and smoke were visible coming from the roof.
A neighbor reported that the homeowners were out of town, so the house is/was reportedly unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The damage from this fire is reported to be extensive. The roof was in danger of collapsing so all companies were ordered to exit the building during fighting the fire for their own safety.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.
