Rollover Crash Reported in Rockford; Extrication Possibly Needed

ROCKFORD, Ill. (July 18, 2025) — Emergency crews responded to a rollover vehicle accident Friday evening in the area of 3901 20th Street East, with early reports indicating that extrication may be required. The severity of injuries is currently unknown.

The crash was reported at approximately 5:20 p.m., prompting a significant emergency response. Units dispatched to the scene included 291, 901, BKFD2S, BKFDG1, MD1, along with 12MED6 and 221.

As of this report, authorities have not confirmed how many individuals were involved in the accident or whether any occupants were trapped inside the vehicle. First responders are actively working at the scene to assess injuries and manage traffic in the area.

Motorists are advised to avoid the vicinity while crews work to clear the scene. The Rockford Police Department and fire/rescue personnel are expected to release additional information as it becomes available.
