Halloween Parade Safety Tips 
1. Be Visible: Make sure kids wear bright costumes or add reflective tape to increase visibility. Carry glow sticks or flashlights to help drivers see you.
2. Stick Together: If attending in groups, keep young children close by. Parents or guardians should hold hands with little ones in crowded areas.
3. Sidewalk Safety: Use sidewalks whenever possible and avoid walking in the street. If no sidewalk is available, stay as far to the side as possible, facing traffic.
4. Cross Carefully: Cross streets at designated crosswalks or intersections, and look both ways before crossing. Avoid running between cars or jaywalking.
5. Watch for Cars: Drivers may have a hard time seeing people in costumes, so stay alert and avoid distractions like phones. Teach kids to make eye contact with drivers before crossing in front of them.
6. Follow Parade Routes: Stick to designated parade areas and obey instructions from event organizers or law enforcement officers.
7. Be Mindful of Costumes: Make sure costumes are safe! Avoid long hems that could cause tripping and choose comfortable shoes.
8. Keep It Safe & Fun: For any questions or help, look for parade staff or officers nearby. Let’s make this a safe and memorable Halloween!
