Rockford PD release
Last Friday around 11:45 am
The Rockford PD responded to Auburn High School.
Initial reports said there was a large fight inside the school.
The school went on lockdown.
And the fight was eventually broken up.
A short time later, another fight broke out.
Resulting in the Rockford PD responding, again.
The Rockford PD then arrested 4 juveniles.
Then released them to their parents.
All were arrested for resisting arrest.
And another for aggravated battery on a police officer.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY/RESISTING ARREST –
On Friday, September 20, 2024, at
approximately 11:45 a.m., Rockford Police officers responded to a large fight inside
Auburn High School. The school was placed on lockdown by school administration and
the fight was broken up. A short time later, a second altercation occurred, resulting in
Rockford Police officers responding again. As a result, four Auburn High School students
were taken into custody and ultimately released to parents/guardians.
After a review of the facts of the case, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office
authorized the charges listed below.
Juvenile Male, 16, Rockford Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer
Resisting Arrest
Juvenile Male, 17, Rockford Resisting Arrest
Juvenile Male, 15, Rockford Resisting Arrest
Juvenile Male, 14, Rockford Resisting Arrest
