They have been releasing more information on things going on within our community.
In a timely manner. And I wanted to acknowledge them.
Because that is how you re-gain the community’s trust.

Multiple Charges After July 17, 2024 Investigation
ROCKFORD, IL – On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Rockford
Police SCOPE officers were following up on a reckless discharge incident earlier in the
evening when they located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of
Harrison and Stowmarket. During the stop, SCOPE officers located ammunition and a
spent shell casing inside the vehicle and during a subsequent investigation, officers were
able to locate and recover additional ammunition, two loaded handguns as well as an
AK-47-style pistol.
After a review of the facts of the case, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office
authorized the charges listed below. Catlin, Haywood, and Jones were lodged in the
County Jail and the juvenile was lodged in Juvenile Detention.

The charges are merely accusations, and all individuals are considered innocent unless
proven guilty in a court of law.
