The Village of Machesney Park is closely monitoring water levels on the Rock River, which were recorded at 8.87 feet as of 8 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024.
Projections indicate that the river is expected to crest at 10.30 feet by Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Village is making sandbags available to residents. While the risk to structures remains low at this time, we encourage those in potential flood zones to prepare accordingly. Sandbags are available for pickup at the Machesney Town Center, in front of the former J.C. Penny location (8702 N 2nd Street).
