Police have chosen to give our community
The middle finger with encryption and non-transparency.
So, nothing is confirmed.

UPDATE from the NWS:

Scattered thunderstorms yesterday produced swaths of large hail
(up to 2″ in diameter) and wind damage.

An EF-0 tornado was also confirmed near Harvard, IL.

Mother Nature reminded us that it is Spring time in the Midwest.

Hitting us with 2 rounds of storms today. The first round came through this morning.
And as predicted by the NWS, a 2nd round came through this afternoon.

The storms started off to our SW, and moved towards us in a NE direction.

The storms intensified as they moved our way.  Prompting a Severe T-Storm Warning for Ogle.
Just prior to it entering into the Winnebago County area.

The storm had a strong hail core signature on radar.
Showing approximately 1.5 inch sized hail.

In the Byron area, moving into the Winnebago County area.

There was rotation in the storm.
But as it was on the South end of Winnebago County, it weakened.
As the storm began to track North/Northeast through Winnebago County.
It began to strengthen once again.

The rotation began to organize over the Downtown Rockford area.
And then moved across the Loves Park, Machesney Park, and Roscoe areas.
The strongest radar indicated rotation was just North/Northeast of the Roscoe area.

Along the I-90 and county line areas.
As of right now, there are no reports of any damages.

There was a brief Tornado Watch issued until 8 pm.

Radar indicated rotation.
And a trained weather spotter in the Rockton area.
Heard a distinct high wind steady sound, in the clouds above.
Possibly, the high wind shear, that could potentially produce a funnel or worse…

Then a tornado Warning was issued for NE Winnebago, Boone, and NW McHenry Counties.

NWS had the warning for a few minutes,
But canceled the warning for Winnebago County.
Because the storm moved out of our county.

But it still had radar indicated rotation to it.
And was moving through the Poplar Grove, Capron, Harvard areas.

A trained weather spotter had eyes on a rotating wall cloud near the Harvard area.

There are a few reports of damages over that way.

The worst of the damages is reported to be in the 10800 of Weidner Rd, in Harvard, Il.
Lawrence and State Line had a collapse. But it might be related to the Weidner Rd.
Unknown if there is 1, or 2 possible collapses.

Unconfirmed reports are saying that a barn has collapsed, and animals were trapped.
Power lines were down in the area.

As of right now, there was radar indicated rotation in the areas that were hit hardest.
However, the NWS has not yet confirmed, nor denied a tornado.
They probably will have a team come out to investigate.

There were many reports of dime sized and pea sized hail reports in Winnebago County.
Along with many reports of flooded roadways and many vehicles stuck in the waters.

Reports of up to 3 inches of rain had fallen in the Loves Park area.
And almost 2 inches near the Auburn School area.

As of 2:22 pm the alleged tornado moved out of the area.
And into the Wisconsin area.

  Let me just tell you this Welsh school was completely flooded we couldn’t even get our kids out of school Huffman Custer and Price street was well over 4ft of water absolutely ridiculous we have no drainage at all around here the traffic was dangerous city of Rockford needs to do something about this it’s a fricken school zone
