UPDATE: The white SUV we received reports on yesterday was involved in this incident per RPD. The white SUV was later located, unoccupied, near the 1100 block of Jackson Street.
RPD is asking residents in the area to review any video they may have or any additional information they may have, to please contact RPD at (815) 966-2900, or on their Facebook @RockfordIllinoisPoliceDepartment or on their Twitter @RockfordPD.

UPDATE: RPD have not released any suspect info. However, sources told us this is the alleged suspect descriptions: The alleged suspects fled in a White SUV….looked like a newer Equinox or Traverse. 3 African American males. Late teens/early 20’s. About 5’10-5’11”. All were thin and dressed in darker color clothing. Pants and windbreaker type jackets.
Allegedly What May Have Happened: Shooting/Shooting Victim(s)
Alleged Approx. Location: 1900 block of Price St
Alleged Approx. Time: 2:20 pm
At approximately 2:20 this afternoon emergency personnel were called to the 1900 block of Price Street, in Rockford, for reports of a shooting incident with a possible shooting victim.
Initial reports are possibly two ambulances were dispatched to the scene for at least one alleged shooting victim said to be in the backyard of the residence.
Reports are a shooting victim has life threatening injuries.
Avoid the area awhile because of the large police presence
