It’s because of your continued support that I feel compelled to speak out.
Like I been saying,
Rockford PD has been mad because of me showing them slacking
And lying to our community. Hiding behind buildings and not patrolling.
Arresting me,
This is their way of controlling Rockford Scanner.
Putting me into their justice system.
I have to abide by their rules.
Which is Censoring Rockford Scanner.
Recently, the Rockford Police Department charged me over a prescription medication that was legally prescribed by my doctor.
This raises serious questions — how can a person be charged for following medical advice and using doctor-prescribed medication?
They did….
This speaks volumes about how the Rockford PD conduct their investigations.
During the raid on my home, law enforcement seized my laptop, SD cards, hard drives, and other equipment —
all of which contained sensitive material, including videos, source information, and files related to alleged police misconduct.
That data is now in the hands of the very agency those files pertain to.
While I am unable to speak publicly about the charges I’m currently facing, I can say this:
I exercised my right to remain silent and requested legal counsel
A decision that clearly upset the officers involved.
I was held in isolation for 10 hours in an ice-cold room,
seemingly as retaliation for asserting my constitutional rights.
Their actions appear to be part of a broader effort to
Discredit me and silence Rockford Scanner.
By confiscating my materials,
They’ve essentially eliminated the evidence I had compiled on alleged misconduct within their department.
On a more positive note:
While incarcerated,
I’ve gained firsthand insight into the lives and experiences of individuals affected by the criminal justice system
including some involved in high-profile cases.
One such individual, facing serious charges, shared his story with me.
I was locked up with the guy the charged with murder, from the gas station on 11th st the other day.
Based on our conversation, I believe there may be more to his case than what has been made public.
And I firmly believe the Rockford PD set him up.
But now he has to fight for his innocence, because Rockford PD chose to charge him.
I can not get that kind of information on the outside…
So, I should be thanking Rockford PD for this unique experience.
It feels like a calculated effort to suppress
independent reporting and restrict the flow of information.
This is censorship in its most direct form.
But even in these situations and environments and conditions,
I continue to gather knowledge straight from the sources.
Being on the inside has given me a unique perspective and access to voices that often go unheard.
Plus I get to work on some stories from the past, that I could only gather information about,
from inside those very same walls.
I remain committed to truth, transparency, and the mission of Rockford Scanner.
I will continue to fight for the right to report freely and without fear of retaliation.
And I will continue to work stories for Rockford Scanner, Because of your support.
