Residents Receive Letters about Municipal Aggregation
Residents are now receiving letters about municipal aggregation. The City has selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), a Chicago-based company, to serve the eligible residents and small business customers with electric supply services for a 24-month term beginning with the September 2024 ComEd meter read cycle. You will be automatically enrolled in this program unless you opt-out.
A few reminders:
You are still a ComEd customer for electricity delivery and metering purposes at your home or business.
You continue to pay ComEd in the same manner as you currently do. There is no change in billing under the City’s electric aggregation program.
ComEd continues to be responsible for the wires, poles, and all emergencies, including outage restoration.
There is no enrollment, switching or early termination fees under the City’s electric aggregation program.
