Update from RPD:
Shooting Investigation at Rockford Ridge
ROCKFORD, IL – Today, July 5, 2024, at approximately 1:55 a.m. the Rockford Police
Department responded to the 200 block of Cameron Avenue for reports of a large
gathering, shots fired, and shooting victims. When officers arrived, they located a 29-
year-old female with an apparent gunshot wound to her shoulder and a 24-year-old
male with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen. Both were transported to local
hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries. A short time later, a 20-year-old female arrived
at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her hip. Another adult
female was injured by broken glass along with multiple vehicles and a residence.
(3 shooting victims, 1 injured by glass. 4 victims injured)
