Rockford PD Release:

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, at approximately
11:40 p.m., Rockford Police SCOPE officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Harrison
Avenue. During the stop, SCOPE officers located and recovered a loaded handgun, over 50 grams
of marijuana, and cannabis gummies. The sole occupant, Dyvon Thompson, was taken into
custody, lodged in the County Jail, and has since been released.

After a review of the facts of the case, The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized
the following charges.

Dyvon Thompson, 33, Rockford

Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis
