Rockford Ready Initiative Celebrates Health Literacy with Youth Poet
Rockford, IL – Rockford Ready, a health literacy initiative led by the City of Rockford’s Health and Human Services Department, proudly unveils a moving poem by Trinity D. Rucker, the 2024 City of Rockford Youth Poet. The poem, titled “Do It All!”, beautifully captures the journey of youth embracing the responsibilities of navigating their health journeys.

Having to do it all…

The poem highlights the importance of knowledge and empowerment in managing personal health. It encourages young Rockford residents to take proactive steps in understanding their health rights and responsibilities.
