Murder on Haskell Avenue
ROCKFORD, IL – On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at approximately 6:11 p.m., Rockford
Police officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Haskell Avenue for reports
of shots fired. While en route, officers received reports of a male gunshot victim outside
of the residence. When officers arrived, they located a 29-year-old man on the sidewalk
suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where
he was pronounced deceased.
As with any investigations, further details and charges may come at a later date.

Initial reports are saying that around 6:20 pm tonight.
Multiple gunshots were fired in the 1000 block of Haskell.
There is one confirmed shooting victim.
There are unconfirmed reports of possible multiple shooting victims.
This just happened, so it is unknown on the severity of the injuries.
We have been told that life saving measures were being performed. Avoid the area.
Rockford PD has been doing a lot better on releasing information on recent shootings.
