Allegedly What May Have Happened: Armed Robbery/Shooting
Alleged Approx. Location: Two locations in close proximity on 11th Street/22nd Avenue
Alleged Approx. Time: Around 2:40 am
At approximately 2:40 this morning emergency personnel were called to 2004 11th Street, at the old Flying Saucer Motel, for reports of an armed robbery with at least one person needing an ambulance for injuries.
At almost the same time, other calls came in for a shooting in the 900 block of 22nd Avenue with at least one person needing an ambulance after being shot.
These two incidents occurred at almost the exact same time and in very close proximity so odds are they are related.
(RPD call logs do verify the armed robbery with police requesting medical, shots fired and then the medical shooting/battery with a weapon calls)
The Rockford Police Department hasn’t released any information on these/this incident(s), we will update this story if/when they do.
The extent of the injuries sustained in both incidents is unknown at this time.
