Allegedly What May Have Happened:    Shooting/shooting victim 

 Alleged Approx. Location:   300 block of N Alpine Rd

 Alleged Approx. Time:   3:00 am

 

At approximately 3:00 this morning emergency personnel were called to the 300 block of N Alpine Road in Rockford for reports of a shooting victim.

The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time, no other information has been released. We will update if further details are made available.

UPDATED To Murder Investigation Per RPD:

On Sunday, November 26th 2023, at approximately 3:00 in the morning, Rockford Police were called to 320 N Alpine Road, in the parking lot, for reports a man was laying outside on the ground.
Upon arrival the man was not located. At the same time, a group of individuals were observed leaving one of the businesses, but they were uncooperative with the investigation.

Approximately 20 minutes later, officers were notified of a adult male shooting victim at a local hospital.

(Officers were able to established the 320 N Alpine Road address was the scene of shooting.)

The victim, a 32 year old male, sustained a gunshot wound to his side and succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
