Allegedly What May Have Happened: Semi and SUV collision, semi didn’t stop
Location: I-39 S, MM 118
Time: 12:35 pm
At approximately 12:35 this afternoon emergency personnel were called to the area of I-39 S, MM 118, for reports a semi collided with a SUV and the semi allegedly kept going, leaving the SUV along the concrete barrier.
Initial reports are the occupant(s) of the SUV are trapped inside the vehicle against the concrete barrier, requiring extrication from Cherry Valley Fire.
Occupant(s) of the SUV were said to have no injuries, no ambulance transport needed.
This is not confirmed but a eyewitness says the the police were notified the semi that allegedly kept going from the scene of the accident pulled into a nearby truck stop.
Avoid the area awhile or expect possible delays.
