While many are mourning the loss of the Rockford Speedway,
I wanted to promote another local racetrack.
The Blackhawk Farms!

I have been a huge fan of sports car racing for many years.
Big fan of our local racing scene. Both on and off the track.
Many of us have many great stories to share about the Rockford Speedway.
And we would like to hear them in the comments area!
There is another local racetrack,
That I feel deserves just as much attention.
The Blackhawk Farm Raceway!
The track is located in South Beloit.
If you are a fan of any type of racing.
Motorcycles, sports cars, etc…
You need to check this place out!!!

Blackhawk Farms is a 1.95 mile, 7 turn private circuit racetrack located in South Beloit, Illinois on 216 acres. The track is on the border between Wisconsin and Illinois, within 90 miles of 2 major metropolitan areas; Chicago and Milwaukee and minutes from interstate 90. The track is a favorite of many local and national race organizations, and is designed to allow for racing organizations and clubs alike to create the ultimate on-track experience with safety being top priority.

Chicagoland Sports Car Club of Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs presents the 53rd running of That Loooong Race on October 14 and 15, 2023, featuring two days of wheel to wheel racing. nGate will open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 and remain open until the conclusion of the event for participants with proper event credentials. Registration hours are Friday, October 13, 2023 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 14, 2023 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, October 15, 2023 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. For more information about this event, please visit High Speed Autocross / HSAX – Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs (mcscc.org)
