More crime in Downtown Rockford.

RS sources are reporting the following:

“Man just walked around down town and threw rocks through businesses in downtown Rockford. Started with sisters Thai cafe and made his was down to wood fire.”

We have reports of over 30 businesses that may have been targeted.

Rockford PD are encrypted and have not released any information.

UPDATE from the Rockford PD

Rockford Man Charged with Criminal Damage to Property
ROCKFORD, IL – On Thursday, October 12, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Rockford Police
officers responded to the 400 and 500 block of East State Street for reports of a male subject
throwing rocks and damaging multiple business windows. Upon arrival to the area, officers met
with Trevor Repay, who matched the description of the man throwing rocks. Repay was taken
into custody and lodged in the County Jail.

After a review of the facts of the case, The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office
authorized the charges listed below.

Trevor Repay, 33, Rockford
Felony Criminal Damage to Property (5 counts)

As with any and all investigations, there may be additional charges and arrests.
