What Allegedly Happened
Based on the current information,
That has been provided to us.
Allegedly What May Have Happened: Overnight Crime Spree…Ditching a stolen vehicle and fleeing, carjacking, two armed robberies and a home invasion being reported.
It’s unknown if these are all connected, obviously, because police haven’t released any details on any of these incidents. If anything is released, we will post the updates. But ya know how that goes…
It started between 4:30/5:00 pm with police spotting a alleged stolen vehicle in the area of 11th Street and Brooke Road. The occupants of the vehicle allegedly ditched the vehicle and fled on foot, with police setting up a perimeter immediately afterwards. It’s unknown if anyone was apprehended.
At around 5:00 pm, a carjacking then occurred in the area of 20th Street and 12th Avenue.
Shortly after 7:00 pm, a armed robbery occurred at the Mobil Gas Station located at 4432 Auburn Street.
Then around a hour later, at 8:20 pm, another armed robbery, this one of a citizen in a residential area, in the 2100 block of Midway Drive.
A home invasion was then reported to have occurred at around 2:00 am in the 200 block of S Prospect Street.
RPD call logs do confirm the time/locations of these incidents but as of the time of this article, no other details have been released.
Police are said to currently be investigating these incidents and/if they are connected in any way…
