What Allegedly Happened
Based on the current information,
That has been provided to us.
As you know, there have been numerous vehicles stolen in Winnebago County.
Police have pretty much remained silent on all the vehicle thefts.
Police will occasionally remind citizens to lock their doors and to keep valuables out of sight…
To be fair: We have been told police have been arresting multiple suspects for the vehicle thefts.
But they have not released any information…
RS sources reached out to Rockford Scanner recently.
They told us that within the last few days.
Suspects attempted to steal their vehicle, multiple times.
This incident happened near Lawndale.
Suspect is a male wearing dark clothing.
Rockford PD release:
URGENT REMINDER: We’ve had some burglaries the past couple of nights where vehicles were stolen from resident’s garages.
Please be car smart and take your valuables inside with you,
lock your doors, and never leave the keys in the car or garage.
Don’t make it easy for thieves!
