What May Have Allegedly Happened.
Based on the current information
That has currently been provided to us.
Sources are reporting a scene.
Possibly involving a stolen vehicle and a police chase.
Please keep in mind, information is dynamic.
It happened this afternoon, just before 3 pm.
There were multiple locations given.

Rockford PD have not yet released any information.
So, nothing is confirmed yet.
Sounds like the incident began in the area of Winnebago and Chestnut.
Officers spotted 4 people wearing gloves and masks and hoodies in a vehicle.
It is approx. 100 degrees outside. So, they obviously stuck out like a sore thumb…
The officer thought they looked suspicious,
and followed the Light-colored Honda Sonata.
During this time.
That officer learned that the vehicle was allegedly stolen.
Numerous officers swarmed the area.
Just prior to the officer trying to conduct a traffic stop.
Numerous officers were in the area, very quickly.
Officers followed the vehicle.
They were waiting for the right time, to conduct the stop.
During that time.
The alleged suspects made things more suspicious for themselves and decided to run a traffic-controlled device, as officers were following them. Now providing the officers more than enough PC.
The 4 suspects decided to dump the stolen vehicle near Island ave.
The suspects left the vehicle in the middle of the roadway.
Numerous police are in the area.
The suspects fled Westbound.
Officers were able to swiftly detain 2 of the suspects.
A short time later, a 3rd suspect was detained.
There is a 4th suspect still on the loose.
The only description we currently have is:
A Black male, wearing a Green hoody, Mask, Rubber Gloves.
If you see anyone suspicious in this area.
Contact the Rockford PD right away.
The police have decided to bring in their police K-9 unit.
These dogs are extremely well trained and can pretty much track anybody.
Witnesses told us that the K-9 appeared to be very eager.
Last we knew, the K-9 was quickly tracking the alleged suspect scent.
They were last seen near Central and Island.
