Police continue to lie about their reasoning for encryption.
Police said that criminals were,
“Using police scanners to commit crimes.”
Rockford Scanner filed a FOIA request.
And it proves our police lied to our community,
For their reasoning to encrypt.
Police said that criminals were,
“Listening in and using the information
for nefarious reasons.”
Rockford Scanner filed a FOIA request.
It proves that the local police once again, lied to our community.
We filed the same FOIA request to multiple departments.
And they all responded with the same thing.
No records on file
You can see the steep decline in arrests,
AFTER police encrypted.
Police gave our community the middle finger.
Instead of the community 150,000 eyes and ears
Of the community being on the lookout.
Criminals use the encryption to their advantage.
Because they know they only have to look out for
only a handful of officers now.
Instead of the 150,000 eyes and ears
of the community turning them in.
The police choose to combat crime on their own.
MANY community members that once trusted police.
No longer do so, after the police encryption and lack of transparency.
Police continue to follow this road…
And expects the community to trust them.
Do you trust someone who encrypts, hides, and lies?
