Allegedly What May Have Happened: Shooting Scene, saying two possible victims
Approx. Location: 1400 block of Willard Avenue
Approx. Time: 8:05 pm
At approximately 8:05 this evening emergency personnel were called to the 1400 block of Willard Avenue in Rockford for reports of two shooting victims.
Multiple ambulances were dispatched along with MD1.
At least one victim has been confirmed and is said to be a male teenager, possibly with life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound to the head.
Avoid the area while police are investigating.
We will update if further information is released.
Updated: Two victims, both teenagers, one 14 years old and one 17 years old, were confirmed shot.
Both received life threatening injuries, with one male teenager age 17, confirmed to have died.
Per WCSO:
Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is on scene in the 1400 block of Willard Avenue for a death investigation. There is no threat to the public. Please avoid the area. No further information is available at this time.
