This was not local, however it was in Illinois.

As you know there have been some sightings of an alleged
mysterious creature that has been spotted over the skies of Illinois.
That has been labeled as the Rockford Mothman.
It is also known as the Chicago Mothman.

It is described as a large dark figure that appears to be a human,
but it has large wings with Red eyes.

There have been several alleged sightings over the skies of Illinois.

It appears there may have been a recent sighting in the Southern Illinois area.

According to the theintelligencer.com there may have been a recent sighting in Downtown Alton, IL.

A woman was walking her dog in the Downtown Alton area around 1 am.

When she first spotted the mysterious creature.

She briefly lost sight of it as it flew away,
then she spotted it once again at a nearby corner.

It is alleged to have happened in the area of the Dunphy Building.

She described the alleged creature as being very similar to the alleged Mothman.
The only difference was the wing color.
