It has been awhile since we have heard the thunderous roars from Mother Nature.
Things have been super dry these days.
Mother Nature decided to spice things up and makes things moist.
I do not yet have an official rainfall amount.
If someone could post it in the comments, that be great! 🙂
Prompting a severe thunderstorm warning for possible winds and hail.
It is unconfirmed, but it does appear there may have been some wind damages.
Multiple reports of wires down, poles on fire, transformers blowing.
According to Comed, there are approx. 50 different reports of power outages in Winnebago County .
UPDATE:
It is now approx. 75 different power outages being reported in Winnebago County.
Approx. 4,400 different customers are without power.
Sources said most, if not all the reports were believed to be storm related.
If you look at the Comed storm map, it appears a line of strong winds may
have swept across the mid section of Rockford, along E State st area.
You can see a defined path of outages, going straight across the Rockford area.

UPDATE: Rockford Airport recorded 64.4 MPH winds.
And that it may take some time to investigate each incident.
Sources have reported to us that extra crews are en route to assist.
