Update: This is now a murder investigation
Sources are reporting a major scene in Rockford.
It happened around 3:15 am-
Near the 200 block of Cameron Avenue was the initial location shooting was said to have occurred, police are now saying shooting was in the 3300 block of Sunnyside Avenue. This is the 2nd shooting incident with a shooting victim on this street in less than a week.
Initial reports are saying at least one person has been shot.
Sources said the victim may have self transported to the ER via a personal vehicle.
We will update as further information is released.
