Police Locate A Firearm And Drugs…
After Kicking In the Door Of An Alleged Suspect

On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at
approximately 10:05 a.m., Detectives within the Rockford Police Department Gang and Narcotics
Units executed a search warrant on a residence in the 2300 block of 8th Street. During the search
of the residence, Detectives located and recovered a loaded handgun, cocaine, cannabis, and
other drug paraphernalia.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the investigation and authorized the
following charges and the suspect, Michael Arnold, was taken into custody and lodged in the
County Jail.

Michael Arnold, 38, Rockford
Unlawful Use of a Weapon (2 counts)
Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver
Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver
