Police Arrest Three Alleged Suspects For Burglary

to report a person knocking at your door.

In September of 2022, the South Beloit Police Department responded to a residence on Lozenge Dr. in regards to a residential burglary that had just occurred. Responding officers spoke with the homeowners and learned that two male subjects claiming to be doing work in the area had distracted the homeowners while at least one additional subject burglarized the residence.

After a lengthy investigation by the South Beloit Police Department, and with the assistance of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF), Detectives were able to identify three suspects in the case, Skippy Miller of Chicago, Illinois, Archie Miller of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Paul Ely of Arlington Heights, Illinois. The case was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office who approved charges of Residential Burglary on each of the three suspects.

On June 2nd 2023 Detectives were able to locate all three suspects who were taken into custody and transported to the Winnebago County Jail.

As the weather warms up and activity increases across the City, please be wary of unexpected visitors to your home claiming to be working in the area. Ask for their business identification and other credentials before allowing them access to your home and property.
