Update:
Rockford Fire responded and arrived within 4 minutes to a structure fire at the above location. First
arriving units found a two story home with light smoke on the first floor and occupants inside. A
preconnected hose line was used to extinguish the fire and the occupants were rescued from the second
floor. The occupants were not injured and refused any medical treatment or transport. No other injuries
were reported and the fire is under investigation at this time. The property sustained approx. $20,000 in
damages.

It happened overnight in the 900 block of Garfield.

Initial reports said multiple firefighters were on scene.

There was a confirmed fire, but after Rockford FD arrived,
The fire was quickly brought under control.

Unknown on injuries.

No other information at this time.
