UPDATE Scene #2:
A few people have reported a person appeared
they were about to jump from the bridge, just prior.
Described as a black male, approx 6 foot
and 160 lbs and possibly blind in one eye.
That was sitting on the edge of the bridge.
Possibly related to this incident.
A person has been pulled from the Rock River.
Keep the people involved in your thoughts and prayers

While emergency personnel were on
the incident posted down below,
A 2nd water rescue incident happened
near the Dam area.
We are not going to provide details
on this 2nd incident right now.
Officials will probably
release information later on.
When they do,
we will post their information.
We will just say keep everyone involved
in your thoughts and prayers.
And to avoid the Dam area for awhile.
SCENE #1
(Update: Boater is OK from scene #1)
Sources are reporting a possible water rescue scene
near the downtown Rockford area.
It happened just before 6:30 pm.
Initial reports are saying a male
was onboard a small boat on the Rock River.
The male went to reach for something and fell overboard.
The male does not have a life vest on.
And was trying to get back into the boat.
It is reported to be near the Whitman st bridge area.
Several units from the Rockford FD are enroute.

UPDATE: Rockford FD made contact with the person,
And the boater does not need assistance. 10-8
