Sources are reporting a structure fire in Rockford.
It happened around 10:30 am near the 600 block of 15th ave.
This is reported to be a 2nd alarm.
Several firefighters are on scene.
Unknown on injuries.
Avoid the area.

Rockford FD:
Rockford Fire was dispatched for a commercial structure fire at the above address. The first truck
arrived in under 4 minutes and found a large structure fully involved with fire. They also found another
structure directly to the East begining to catch fire. They began fire attack and extinguished the
exposure and worked to the extinguish the large commercial building. Several other units arrived and
assisted with operations. The structure was not occupied and was already marked as a hazardous
building due to structural damage. The fire was under control in 40 minutes, but due to the fire damage
and condition of the structure it was demolished for safety issues. There were no injuries and loss is
estimated at $40,000.00.
