WELL 34 TREATMENT FACILITY
Beginning on Tuesday April 25, 2023 South Rock Ave will be closed at Dawes Road for
Water Main Construction. A detour route will be in place. The closure is expected to
last 4 days.
Citizens are urged to use an alternative route for the duration of this closure.
Please note all residences and businesses will remain accessible throughout this project.
The Well 34 Treatment Facility project consists of water main installation, valves,
demolishing the existing facility and replacing with a new water treatment facility for
the removal of iron, manganese and radium. The new facility will contain a horizontal
pressure filter, backwash tank, chemical treatment equipment and related
appurtenances. A new reservoir with booster pumps will also be constructed along with
the facility.
All work is dependent on the proper weather conditions. Drivers are reminded to
obey work zone speed limits and to stay alert for workers when driving near the work
area
As much as we hate asking for donations.
