at the Rockford Airport:

Earlier today, RS sources were reporting a special visitor over the skies of Winnebago County.
A USAF Boeing TC-135w Stratolifter was doing some maneuvers over our skies.
It appears that it may have been a training flight, but not confirmed.
This aircraft is used for surveillance purposes.
But the “TC” appears to be for training aircraft.
The Rockford Airport hosts many military aircraft.
The military uses the Rockford Airport to refuel and maintenance.
They also park their military aircraft on the ramps of KRFD.
Rockford Airport, has a state of the art ILS, the military uses for training.
And the Rockford Airport has one of the longest runways in the area.
Runway 7/25, which runs East and West, is just a tad bit over 10,000 feet long!
