Rockford PD released the following information:
– On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at approximately 10:10 a.m., Rockford Police
officers responded to 611 Auburn Street, the prospective site of a family planning clinic, for a
report of a recent battery.
Upon arrival, officers were advised that a car pulled over in front of the clinic while a group of
individuals were protesting in front. An adult female, later identified as Nataly Rivera, exited the
passenger side, and asked the victim, an adult male, whose house they were in front of and why
were they protesting in front of the house. She then attempted to knock the man’s cell phone
from his hand and proceeded to throw a cup of coffee towards him, spilling the contents onto the
victim. Rivera got back into the car and fled from the area.
A short time later, Rivera was taken into custody at her residence and lodged in the County Jail.

The charges are merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent unless proven
guilty in a court of law.
