Good morning,
Hopefully everyone is staying warm!
Numerous police departments, state police, NWS, etc…
Have warned citizens to avoid traveling during this weather.
The odd/even parking is currently active.
Our good friend Starry is reporting poor road conditions near the areas of Mulford, East State st.
Reports of multiple vehicles that are alleged to be stuck in a nearby snow bank.
Other sources are reporting drifting and black ice on some local roadways.
I would strongly recommend everyone to stay inside.
But we know with the holidays and some bosses are making their employees come into work.
Many of you still have to travel. Do so at your own risk. Tell someone your traveling plans.
Make sure you allow extra time and drive slow.
If you see a stranded motorist:
Please stop and ask if they need any assistance, Or call the police.
It could potentially be saving a life.
Mother Nature has brought us some brutally cold temps. and wind chills!
The weather is reported to be effecting some public works equipment.
Sources said many of the engines will not turn over, because of the weather.
Public works have not officially confirmed this yet.
However the information comes from a very credible source.
No need to panic,
There are reports of multiple public works crews that are still out keeping the roadways clear.
Just because some equipment will not work, does not mean all of the equipment…
It is reported to be taking a little longer than expected, due to the weather.
And thank the community for understanding.
And to remind the community to give the trucks extra room as they clear our roads.
Sad I have to even say this: Do not try and pass an active salt truck/plow.
