On Thursday, December 8, 2022, at approximately 1:10 a.m.,
Rockford Police officers responded to 3511 E. State Street (Chicken Hop) for an alarm. Upon
arrival, officers observed the entry doors had been smashed and entry was gained. The suspect,
a black male with a lighter complexion, short braids, wearing a blue hoodie, black stocking cap
and black gloves, was seen exiting the business with two cash registers containing an undisclosed
amount of cash.
