On Saturday, November 25, 2022, at approximately
12:40 a.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the Aragona Club (320 Kent Street) for reports
of a large fight and that someone had sprayed pepper spray inside the club. As officers were
attempting to disperse the large, unruly crowd, shots were fired and a 26-year-old man was
struck in the stomach. The victim was transported to a local hospital for his life-threatening injury
and is listed in stable condition at the time of this release.
