My opinion on what allegedly may have possibly happened, 
Based on the information that has been currently provided to Rockford Scanner: 

 Where: 2800 block of S Springfield Ave 

When: Approximately 12:30 am

Brief synopsis of what may have possibly have happened, 
Based on the information that has currently been provided to us: 

At approximately 12:30 this morning emergency personnel were called to the 2800 block of S Springfield Avenue in Rockford, by Lowes Distribution, for reports of a vehicle on fire.

Initial reports are the vehicle on fire was in the southbound lane and was unoccupied.
A investigator has been called to the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
