We have reports of a multi agency police chase that ended in the 14500 block of West State Road in Pecatonica around 7:30 tonight.

Initial reports are police tried to stop a vehicle that was reported stolen out of the Chicago area and the vehicle fled doing up to 130 miles per hour and eventually the occupants ditched the vehicle in the 14500 block of West State Road.

The occupants fled into a cornfield off the road and at first were believed to be apprehended about 200 feet in but sources have told us at least one if not all the alleged occupants broke free and fled through the cornfields.

Reports are a parameter with thermal imaging equipment and drones surveilling the area were set up around 20 to S Jackson Road down to the S Conger Road and Comly Road area.

It is unknown at this time if all that fled have been apprehended.

Avoid the area.
