My opinion on what may have possibly happened,
Based on the information that has been currently provided:
At approximately 1:20 this morning emergency personnel were called to N Central Avenue and School Street in Rockford for reports of a accident where a vehicle hit a house.
Initial reports are this was a possibly a three vehicle accident with at least one vehicle striking the house and damaging the gas meter possibly causing a leak, along with wires down in the area as a result of this accident.
One vehicle was reported to have fled the scene.
Injuries are being reported as well, the extent of injuries is unknown.
Avoid the area or expect possible delays.
