Police spotted a stolen Blue Camry at the Fasmart on N Second st in Roscoe.

Suspect armed with a gun.

Last seen on Swanson rd


Note: Unconfirmed, but it was stolen from the North Town Mall area.

The video above, was taken from a sources security camera system as the vehicle fled

Neighbor had her kids in the front yard when the car drove through the yard almost hitting them

UPDATE: Sources say the motorcyclists is in stable condition.


Around 1 am this morning, several emergency personnel were dispatched for a serious motorcycle accident in Rockford. 

It happened on N Second st, south of Spring Creek in the southbound lanes. 

Police have the roadway blocked off southbound. 

Injuries were being reported.  Sounds like the injuries might be serious , but not confirmed. 

Still developing. Avoid the area

Around 12:20 am this morning, a vehicle fled from police in Loves Park. 

It happened on N Second st in Loves Park

Suspect is a black male driving a Red Ford Minivan that is registered to an address on Independence ave in Rockford. 

That seen southbound on 6th st

Just before 11 pm tonight, emergency personnel were responding to two different accident scenes in Rockford. 

The first one happened near E State and Washington.  A vehicle involved in the accident was on fire. 

The second accident scene involved a motorcycle. This accident scene was on N Second st by Y blvd. A motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in the accident. 

Both scenes were reporting injuries.

Around 5 am this morning several emergency personnel were responding to a motorcycle accident with injuries. 

It happened on N Second st, near the cloverleaf. 

A motorcyclist hit a deer and went over the handlebars of the motorcycle. 

The motorcyclist was injured and transported to a local ER.

Around noon today emergency personnel were dispatched for an accident with injuries. 

It happened near Sinnissippi Park at N Second st and Ethel. 

At least two ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. 

Sources are reporting an off duty officer is involved in the accident. 

Please avoid the area or expect delays



Rockford Scanner™: Accident With Injuries in Loves Park





Around 5:20 pm today several emergency personnel were on scene of an accident with injuries in Loves Park. 

It happened in the Northbound lanes of N Second st, near River ln

Unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

A vehicle rear ended another vehicle near this location. 

Traffic is backed up a bit going Northbound, but there is still one lane still open for traffic. 

 

 

 





Rockford Scanner™: Officer Involved In An Accident in Winnebago County, Chain Of Events Leads To the Accident





Around 9 PM tonight a citizen was driving down N Second st, southbound from 173 in a Red Impala when he struck a deer.  The citizen pulled over to the side of the road because of the accident and it may have caught on fire.  Another citizen stopped to help.  They got the vehicle on a tow truck.

While they were on the side of the roadway one of the vehicles batteries dies (hazard lights drained the battery)  so they turned their vehicle around to jump start it, an officer was assisting.

The officer was out of their squad car talking to the people involved, standing in between the two vehicles that were jump starting.

Around that same time, A motorcyclist was traveling southbound on N Second from 173.

The motorcyclist lost control of their motorcycle and dumped it. The motorcycle and rider slid approx. 70 feet.

The motorcycle slid into the back of the car.  The car lunged forward striking the police officers legs and pinned the officer between the two vehicles that were jump starting.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local ER. Unknown if the officer was reporting injuries.

Crime scene unit and several emergency personnel were on scene.
