Shots Fired in Rockford, Several Officers En Route

UPDATE:
On October 06, 2016 shortly after 1:30 PM Rockford Police responded to the area of 20th Street and Harrison Avenue reference to a report of shots being fired.  The caller stated that they heard several loud bangs and they then saw a SUV leaving the area.  Officers located the SUV in the 2300 block of 20th Street as they were responding to the call.  Inside the vehicle they located a 22 and 23 male who had both been shot.  Both subjects were transported to local hospitals by Rockford Fire Ambulance for treatment.  The 23 year old had a minor injury and the 22 year old was suffering from a serious wound.  No suspect information at this time.


Around 1:37 pm today several officers were dispatched to the area of 20th and Harrison. Scanner traffic is saying numerous shots fired. The suspect is a Hispanic male. Blue SUV is involved. 

UPDATE: Two shooting victims.  Possibly 3rd shooting victim. They have dispatched 3 ambulances to the scene.

UPDATE: They cancelled the 3rd ambulance. Two confirmed victims. They said there was a third shooting victim and needed an ambulance, but while en route they cancelled the ambulance. Unknown if it is fatal or unfounded for the 3rd victim.  

UPDATE: One victim is in their 20’s. He was shot near the left shoulder/neck area.

Sounds like the victims were in a vehicle when they were shot. Then crashed their vehicle. One person is unconscious.

Traffic Alert: Traffic is backed up a ways in the area of the scene. AVOID THE AREA or expect delays

Also a couple people detained.

Bees Attack A Couple Kids in Rockford

Just before 7 am this morning the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched to an address on Silentwood Trail in Rockford. Scanner traffic is saying there are two victims that were stung by multiple bees. The victims are reported to be kids. Sounds like it happened somewhere nearby and the kids went home and still had many bees on them. The parents were trying to get rid of the bees. Several emergency personnel are en route. Still developing
